4. Gmail API Usage
SellSynapse uses the Gmail API to send emails on your behalf. Our use of Gmail API data is limited to:
- Sending emails — We send outreach emails through your Gmail account when you initiate them
- Reading replies — We check your inbox for replies to emails you sent through our platform
- Getting your profile — We retrieve your email address to identify your account
Important: SellSynapse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do NOT:
- Read your entire inbox or personal emails
- Store your Gmail credentials (only OAuth tokens)
- Share your Gmail data with third parties
- Use your Gmail data for advertising purposes
- Transfer Gmail data to AI/ML models for training
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring each user can only access their own data. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Row-level security in our database
- OAuth 2.0 for Gmail authentication (no password storage)
- Secure token storage
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
- Vercel — Platform hosting
- Apollo.io — Company data enrichment (only domain names shared)
- Hunter.io — Email finding (only domain names shared)
- Calendly — Meeting booking (webhook notifications only)
- Google — Gmail API for sending and reading emails
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data
- Revoke Gmail access — Disconnect Gmail at any time from Google Account settings
- Data portability — Export your prospect and email data

8. Email Tracking
SellSynapse uses tracking pixels in emails sent through our platform. When you send an email to a prospect:
- A tiny invisible pixel is embedded in the email
- When the recipient opens the email, we record the open event
- This data is visible only to you (the sender)
- Recipients can disable tracking by blocking images in their email client
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- All prospect data is permanently deleted
- All email records are permanently deleted
- Gmail OAuth tokens are revoked and deleted
- Knowledge base documents are permanently deleted
10. Children's Privacy
SellSynapse is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
